These dual credit British literature students did an excellent job conducting a mock trial of Sir Gawain regarding his encounter with the Green Knight. Although it was proven that Sir Gawain broke the Code of Chivalry, no damages were awarded due to trickery on the part of Lord Bertilak. And it was so much fun!
Many thanks to Seth Slagle, Clay County Attorney, for making arrangements to use the courthouse and consulting with the judge for the verdict. And thanks also to Judge Butler, aka the dinosaur man, for listening to the trial and administering the judgment. Both of these men provided pertinent feedback to the students.- Mrs. Schaffner
