The Clay County Extension Agency in partnership with the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension will be presenting a Vaping and Fentanyl Education program at HHS for Clay County middle and high school students on Monday, November 18. They will also be offering a parent program at 6:00 pm, November 18 at 6:00 pm in the HISD administration building.

Senior parents & students, please join us next Thursday for a meeting over financial aid.

Some important things for you to know: Monday: Community Spirit dress up day/wear red, white, & blue to show your patriotic pride Wednesday: World Kindness Day dress up/wear neon to "Be a bright light in someone's day" Be on the lookout for food drives and animal shelter drive this week and send much needed supplies with your student!

TOMORROW IS THE DEADLINE to sign up for Christmas Assistance!! While you are there, make sure to sign up for services with the food pantry to get food help for Thanksgiving week!

HS students that want to ride to the volleyball game tomorrow night, please come by the office in the morning to sign up. You will load the bus at 430pm!

If you are needing assistance with Christmas this year, you will need to sign up with the Clay County Outreach. If you have a blue or pink form, those must be turned in to them by THIS FRIDAY, November 8th!!

These dual credit British literature students did an excellent job conducting a mock trial of Sir Gawain regarding his encounter with the Green Knight. Although it was proven that Sir Gawain broke the Code of Chivalry, no damages were awarded due to trickery on the part of Lord Bertilak. And it was so much fun! Many thanks to Seth Slagle, Clay County Attorney, for making arrangements to use the courthouse and consulting with the judge for the verdict. And thanks also to Judge Butler, aka the dinosaur man, for listening to the trial and administering the judgment. Both of these men provided pertinent feedback to the students.- Mrs. Schaffner

Join us tomorrow at 3:30pm in the front of the HS for a send off for Kate Farnsworth as she heads to Austin to compete in the state XC meet. Lets celebrate her dedication, hard work, and countless hours of training she has put in. Let's cheer her on and wish her the best of luck.

These two did very well at the Decatur vs The Colony swim meet this past Saturday! Ella Durham 1st place in the 100 Free with a time of 1:00.34 2nd place in the 50 Free with a time of 27.43 seconds Zoie Nicely 4th place in the 50 Breast with a time of 46.97 5th place in the 50 Free with a time of 36.56 Both girls improved on their times, way to go Henrietta Swim Team
